Who We Are

Welcome to our little family run craft shop Lia Árann nestled at the foothill of Dún Aonghusa on Inis Mór, the largest of the three Aran Islands and surrounded by the wild Atlantic Ocean. Máirtín O’Conceanainn and Síghle Ní Choitir opened the doors of the shop in 1995 and since the beginning, the shelves have been filled with exceptional and unique creations made here on the island, such as our Celtic design T-shirts. Now, a quarter of a century later, the shop has been handed down to our daughter, Niamh Cotter who works closely with her brother, artist Tadhg O’Connor.

At Lia Árann, we care about the environment and our local community. We exclusively stock local products which have a minimal impact on the planet. We do this by ensuring the makers who supply our little shop are using ingredients and materials that do not negatively impact our planet. Our T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts are printed on natural, organic, ringspun cotton that has been sustainably certified. Our prints are produced on recycled paper that has been FSC certified. All our packaging is is made from recycled and/or biodegradable materials.

We continuously encourage creatives to make products that align with our vision. By supporting local artists, we also ensure that our products are made in Ireland by other small businesses.
